First of May

The first of May is also celebrated in Norway. Norwegian flags are all over the city, and people are out in the park and squares. And of course in coffee shops (the only ones that are open today).  Maybe in the morning there was some celebrations or something, I don’t know , I was there in the afternoon....

One day, we decided with Annie (the wife of my boss) to go for a walk together with her son at Hollmenkolen mountain to see the ski jump. The plan was to drink coffee after that with a fantastic view of Oslofjord. So we took the subway, and in 15 minutes we were there. The weather was perfect and lot of people was in the subway with their ski equipment...

Ι am almost 20 days here in Oslo.

As I was expected, I don’t have a lot of free time to write in my blog. I am very sad about this. My days are full and I am always returning home exhausted. I am preparing food and then they are starting the skype-calls. First my mother then my boyfriend and then whoever reaches me in facebook for chat. When will I find time to write?

Now tha I found some time, I will write a small summary...

My arrival to Oslo

  

Got some time to update my blog.

 I was flying Monday at noon. I packed the last minute things and straight to the airport. I was so stressed I didn’t even notice the time passing. Checked in, arranged the cat’s ticket, I handled my luggage ( fortunately I wasn’t credited the overweight) and the last farewells with my parents. Hard hour, hard moments. My mother was strong, I didn’t quite manage. I did tear up. I hate goodbyes....

Countdown No2

 The clock is ticking, the days are flying past and I have done nothing! Every day I am looking for an apartment and I send emails. I have sent so many that I don’t know to whom I have send what, and who has answered what… I am e-mailing them again, they answer me “We have answered you before, we don’t accept cats”. Another  told me “…please don’t sent me another email”. They get angry too...

Around Oslo there are several ski resorts for all levels.

One of the biggest ski resorts of Oslo is the Oslo winter park Tryvann with 18 slopes, 11 lift and one of the biggest snow parks of Norway. It is 30 minutes away from the city center of Oslo.  You can go there with public transportation...

Oslo rolls out its Olympic plans

City officials have rolled out prospects for a Winter Olympics in Oslo in 2022 that would cost at least NOK 2o billion (USD 3.6 billion) and spur major redevelopment of the city’s semi-industrial northeast side. It would also play heavily on the success of the 1994 Olympics at Lillehammer, re-using facilities built in that area for alpine and bobsledding events...

First days of March, and I just realized that from this point forward starts the countdown for Oslo. In April, I’m off to Oslo. After all that work that was in the last year and a half, (with all the disappointments etc) now gets to be reality...

Getting Organized.

I think I am in my most beautiful and hopeful part of my life. I can dream how I will live there, my work, my association with my  coworkers. I started following and watching a lot of webinars so that I will not be behind in the evolution of dentistry.(exiting this apathy). And because I will do endodontic therapy I have to learn everything. 

And I'm looking for a house...
